What you get for £99

Your reviewer reads your documents and checks what you billed against what was agreed and what your records show was done. The review is carried out by a person, not an automated system. We hold no professional accounting, legal or regulatory qualification.

  • One invoice checked against the records you send, such as an accepted quote, purchase order, visit sheet or email from your customer.
  • Findings labelled missing, contradictory, supported or cannot verify. Each finding points to the records behind it and explains any gaps, so you can check our work.
  • A list of corrections for you to make, or questions to put to your customer, with the reason for each step. For example: correct a purchase order number that does not match, or ask your customer which visits they have approved. We identify who each step is for.
  • An Email draft — check before sending, where the records support one. You receive it alongside the findings and must check it before sending it yourself.
  • Your written findings and next steps within 2 business days of us receiving all the records needed for the review. Paying does not start that clock.
  • Changes to the review of that same invoice for 30 days, at no extra charge.

£99 is a one-off charge in GBP. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

Refunds

  • Full refund if the case turns out to be outside scope after we accepted it.
  • Full refund if we cannot deliver the review we promised.
  • A finding of cannot verify, properly evidenced, is a delivered result and is not refundable. Sometimes the honest answer is that your records do not settle the question — that answer is the service working, not failing.

Ask by email and we will tell you which of these applies before you have to argue about it.

Email draft — check before sending

We draft an email you can check and send to the person handling your invoice. Your reviewer checks every factual statement, amount and reference against the records you sent. The findings show where to check each statement yourself: the file and the page, line or other relevant place in it.

Before sending, you must check every fact, the recipient and any attachments. Correct anything that does not match what you know. You decide whether to use the draft and send it yourself. We never send anything to your customer.

The draft separates what your records show from questions only your customer can answer. It does not invent conversations, admit fault or give anything up on your behalf. It does not accuse anyone, threaten legal action or promise payment. If there is not enough in your records to write a useful email, we explain what you can correct or what you need to ask your customer to confirm, and show the records behind that advice.

Scope, and when we refuse a case

We check whether we can review your case before charging you. You need the invoice and at least one record relevant to it: an agreement such as an accepted quote or purchase order, a record of the work such as a visit sheet or signed job sheet, or a reply from your customer about the invoice. You do not need all three types to ask for a review. We may need more records to complete it.

We cannot review invoices for household customers, sales of goods without services, or invoices in a currency other than GBP. We also exclude construction progress valuations (claims for part-completed work), retentions (money held back on construction work), and cases where your customer is insolvent.

If we accept a case and then find it was out of scope, you get a full refund.

What this is not

We cannot promise your invoice will be paid. Your customer controls their own payment process, and nothing we produce obliges them to act.

We do not decide who is right. If your customer disputes the quality of the work, the right to charge for it, or what the contract meant, checking the paperwork cannot settle that dispute. We do not chase payment, negotiate, collect debts or contact your customer. Nothing is ever sent to them from us.

Your records

You keep ownership of everything you send. We use your documents only to produce your review. See the documents and privacy page for what is stored, for how long, and how to have it deleted.

Only send records you have the right to share. Remove details we do not need to check the invoice, such as unrelated personal information.

Limits

Our responsibility is limited to what you paid for the case. We are not responsible for what your customer decides, for money that does not arrive, or for decisions you take after reading a review. You decide what to do with the findings.
